MSW, LCSW (FLSW5501)

April Boykin is a holistic psychotherapist who uses an integrative approach grounded in psychosynthesis and focusing on the relationship between mind, body, and spirit. April’s diverse style includes traditional therapeutic techniques and energy-based practices. She is trained in mindfulness, yoga, hypnotherapy, the Emotional Freedom Technique, Neurolinguistic Programming, EMDR, and she is a certified Eden Method Advanced Practitioner.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, April has worked in Central Florida for more than 30 years, providing counseling, coaching, education, and training. Her journey began working in the field of addiction, then in the non-profit industry with children and families, and spans the age to include elderly, aged, and disabled. She found that many people benefit from alternative therapeutic techniques to

realize the most effective healing. Energy-based modalities can help process trauma by shifting long-standing patterns of dysfunctional thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and habits to help discover sustained wellness. These techniques resolve trauma, heartache, worry, fear, anger, self-doubt, hurt, and more on a deeper level. These approaches provide symptom relief, support to resolve areas where you feel stuck, and practical techniques to help you achieve your goals more quickly.

April takes an individualized approach to support clients and believes that each person’s journey of healing is unique and self-directed. Personal growth, development, and change are central to finding peace, happiness, and joy.
